Sachiko Water Ltd usually uses Electrical Resistivity Survey method, more especially the Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) which involves the rapid measurement of variations of the ground resistance with unit depth. However, other survey methods such as Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) and vertical Seismic Profiling (VSP) are also employed in specific occasions according to the varying conditions of the areas.
We provide borehole drilling services for both handpumps and motorized pumps. We are specialized in air and mud rotary drilling methods. Borehole apron/headworks designs vary with clients’ requirements. When siting the borehole, we pay attention to the geophysical survey results coupled with findings from hydrogeological desk studies, and the proximity to possible groundwater contamination sources.
Borehole forensic assessment is a detailed diagnostic investigation that aims at determining the route cause of borehole non-functionality. In this forensic assessment, we conduct a series of tests including but not limited to down-the whole camera analysis, water quality analysis, pumping tests and materials analysis. At the end of the borehole forensic assessment, we recommend whether the borehole can be restored through rehabilitation or maintenance works, or it has to be decommissioned based on the findings.
We strive to offer high quality and sustainable services in contribution to national and global development agenda
Sachiko Water Ltd designs and constructs full reticulated water supply systems. The reticulated system includes a high yielding borehole installed with a submersible pump powered by electrical or solar power, elevated reservoirs, a network of transmission and distribution pipes, and water supply points. The design of our reticulated systems employs the four basic principles of a water reticulation system which include reliability, redundancy, utility, and economy.
We provide the following services: Geophysical survey; Borehole drilling and construction; Borehole forensic assessment; Borehole rehabilitation; Borehole pumping tests; Construction of irrigation systems; Construction of Reticulated water systems; Water needs assessment; and any other water related service.
